As CEO of Tricor Entertainment, Inc. and CEO of Darian Management Group, negotiated hundreds of Bank Deals, Talent Agreements, Distribution Contracts, Literary Option & Acquisition Agreements, International Joint-Ventures, Production Deals, and Post-Production Service Agreements, in connection with numerous Motion Picture, Television, Music, and Exhibition ventures, locally and around the world; Executive Producer of several features including: The Bridge of San Luis Rey (Robert DeNiro, Kathy Bates); The Devil & Daniel Webster (Anthony Hopkins, Alec Baldwin, Jennifer Love Hewitt); The Amati Girls (Mercedes Ruehl, Paul Sorvino); Carlo's Wake (Martin Landau, Rita Moreno); Extreme Days (Cassidy Rae, Dante Basco); Homecoming of Jimmy White Cloud.
As Managing Director of ChinaAmerica Film Distributors and Cinema 1 Theater Group (a Hong Kong-based Partnership of Shipping & Airline Conglomerate, Evergreen Group / VisionNet International ) engineered a strategic plan resulting in an unprecedented deal to construct and operate a state-of-the-art theater circuit in Southeast Asia ; Distributed over 100 major feature films in this territory.
As CEO of Occidental Entertainment Group Holdings, Inc., preside over five operating divisions that includes 12 Sound Stages, more than 400,000 square feet of commercial office, production, editorial space on a 17+ acre aggregate footprint and a wide range of lighting, grips, props, and high-tech services.
As CEO of Darian Management Group, represented the ownership of the Omni Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, supervising the transfer of ownership in this 4-Star Hotel in a complex US$26 million stock transaction.
As CEO of Glen Glenn Studios (a Division of Republic Corporation - NYSE posting revenues of US$2 billion annually), spearheaded a major reorganization resulting in substantial sales & profitability increase within a 1 year period and precipitated its subsequent sale to United Artists Communications and related merger with TODD-AO Corporation (NASDAQ). Resulted in the largest Post-Production Studio in the World, servicing over 75 Motion Pictures and Television Features per year, and the majority of all Primetime Programming Produced. Youngest 'Sound Director' in the history of the Motion Picture Industry at age 29; and the youngest President of a Republic Corporation Division.
As Chairman of the Management Committee for The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce , developed a Plan of Reorganization creating aggressive marketing programs and cost-cutting maneuvers, which led to the restructuring of this prominent civic organization. Also served on The Board of Directors and Executive Committee; and Chaired the Personnel Committee, Marketing Committee, and Entertainment Industry Council.
As Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Hollywood Historic Trust (Walk of Fame) and Hollywood Sign Trust, developed a complex strategy with attorneys from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where under high-profile litigation brought by the State Attorney General against The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce was settled with the Chamber retaining a beneficial interest in the licensing and merchandising residuals tied to these world-renowned Trademarks.
As Chief Advisor to Lucasfilm, Ltd . established a significant operating presence in Southern California via its Skywalker Sound Studio, and procured extensive Los Angeles-based business to use "The Skywalker Ranch" in San Rafael .
As CEO of Matrix Studios, Inc. negotiated a complicated work-out with lawyers for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) , which facilitated the successful sale of assets and prevented financial recourse against the principals of two prominent Venture-Capital Groups that were otherwise liable for a secured Promissory Note.
As Personal Manager to International Recording Star, Jermaine Jackson (formerly of The Jackson 5 ), resolved a myriad of business & legal matters brought about by prior management, and negotiated several new business deals, including: (i) a deal with Sony Music , (ii) a deal for two new 'Demos' Produced for International Release and (iii) the foundation for the "Jackson 5 Reunion" in Madison Square Garden. Also negotiated a multi-album deal with Dr. Dre's Aftermath Records, Interscope , and Universal Music , on behalf of a recording artists SereNade .
As one of three Members of the Board of Supervisors for Republic Corporation Credit Union, supervised all administrative, regulatory & compliance matters and officiated the merger with Warner/Hollywood Credit Union.
As Chief Advisor to Record Plant Scoring Studios, spearheaded the company's reorganization and postured it for its subsequent sale to London-based music giant, Chrysalis Records.
As the Lead Negotiator representing Glen Glenn Studios in Collective Bargaining sessions with the IATSE, created the wage base, local union designation, classification, and special skills criteria which has become the standard throughout the industry for all technicians using non-linear forms of editing sound for Motion Pictures and Television Broadcast. Also renegotiated Agreements with the IBEW, Teamsters, and Janitorial Locals.
As CEO of Darian Management Group, negotiated an exclusive distribution deal with Motorola Asia Pacific Ltd., whereunder 300,000+ Pagers and Cellular Phones per year would be purchased and distributed throughout specified regions within the Peoples Republic of China.
As Chief Advisor to Europoint Investments (Controlling Shareholder of The Metro Plaza Hotel), developed a workout plan which resulted in re-casting its debt under a long-term 'Forbearance Agreement' and stopped an advanced foreclosure proceeding which nearly seized its multi-million dollar property.
